Last week we had a very hard day.  Victoria Navarre, the mother of Pastor Luis of Hunter Baptist Church, passed away early Tuesday morning.  She was in her 50’s.  She died of cancer.  She was diagnosed only about 4 months ago.  Her life has been an example to many women here and she has been a great servant of God.  She was an example of Christian love and a willing heart in her home, in her church, and to all who knew her.

The funeral for Mrs. Navarre was held last Wednesday and, just as they always do here, the family put the first few shovel fulls of dirt down the grave.  It is such a horrific sound that no one can explain until you experience it yourself.
 
I would like to ask that you please keep the Navarre family in your prayers.  They have lost someone very dear to them that will never be replaced.  I praise God for her life and testimony.  I praise God for the family and the way that they have peace from God that passes all understanding.
